I cannot even remember the last time I used paper plates! Isn't that for fun things like picnics and parties? I don't do any of those fun things :P

I don't use disposable things normally.  I only eat from glass or porcelain and drink from glass.  I do drink from plastic water bottles....that's my plastic/disposable thing that's regular.  I use towels in the kitchen rather than paper towels and I use cloth napkins.

I don't use paper paper plates because using them is inhumane.  Do you know how many cardboard boxes they have to kill just to make 1 paper plate?  How would you feel if you were that poor cardboard box?  Cardboard boxes were created to hold products from Amazon, not to be ground up to make paper plates.

Cardboard boxes also make great homes.

No need to worry about disposable paper products.  We can grow as many trees as we want to.  The plastics are our big problem.....specifically retail bags and diapers.  Both can easily be completely eliminated.  Why have they not been?  Politics.

We don't either.  I keep a small package at my elderly mother's house in case I want to use a plate over there.  Her dishwashing skills have deteriorated a bit and she gets mad if I return a "clean" item to the sink.   :)

When I used to visit my mother, after my father died, I would wash the dishes she left in the sink.

Oh my mother washes her dishes but sometimes it is not a stellar job.  She has a dishwasher and acts like she is afraid of it.  ;)

China. Paper plates are for picnics and barbecues, not for sit-down meals at home.

In my hippie days I knew people who would use the same paper plates for weeks, perhaps months, at a time.  Sometimes I ate off them.
