So I am walking along a street in poor town and there is this black kid coming toward me, head down, collision course. Little guy: this is not a fight brewing, just something goofy. So I step toward the curb to let him pass. He snaps his head up and says "That's right! You should walk on the gutter side! This is our neighborhood and we only let you walk through it because we want to be nice!" I said "Thank you. I appreciate your hospitality." Well, what could he do? Stop being nice? He smiled and said "You're ok!" and we parted.

I wish white people were that easy to figure out.

I flee, ignore the problem, or make my mind go blank.
It's easy becoming invisible when no one really cares about you.
