Not at all. Affect is a verb, effect is a noun. I do sometimes confuse Aflac with Affleck. I know one's a guy and one's a duck. This post was edited by Element 99 at October 2, 2018 12:55 PM MDT

They really do have so much in common.  Their looks.  Their voices.  Their personalities.  I can't imagine having one without the other.

  • Nope. I have to use both of them frequently in the documentation I do for work. But I've never been affected by the effects of incorrect usage of those words.

I never did until someone told me there was a difference.  Since that day, my writing has never been the same.  I try to remember them by "a" is for action and "e" is for everything else.  Still, I'm paranoid and avoid them at all costs. No, I'm not afraid to use them as I know when to use each properly.

I usually know how to properly use them but I become paranoid and avoid using them. This post was edited by Rizz at September 29, 2018 5:01 PM MDT
