Is this statement something we all agree on? Or is it racist and a lie?

We all agree on the need to better secure the border, and to punish employers who choose to hire illegal immigrants. We are a generous and welcoming people here in the United States but those who enter the country illegally and those who employ them disrespect the rule of law and they are showing disregard for those following the law. We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked and circumventing the line of people who are waiting patiently, diligently and lawfully to become immigrants in this country.

    This is from a quote from Obama in 2005.  It is not a racist statement.  It is a logical one.  It was logical then and still is.  All that has changed is political goal.  What is right remains the same.

    Partly for votes but mostly they just have to be against what Trump is for.   Then the contest begins to see who can be the most appalled and outraged by what he does or says.

    This is a reasonable statement and, I suspect, one most can agree with.

    If only it could be left at that by the voices in power, not bloviated with fear mongering and hyperbole.

    And where does it say more came in by plane? Just because someone came in on a visa does not mean they came in on a plane. 


    And even if more approx 40-50% are overstays (of the approx 12Million) illegals are overstays, why would we ignore that between 60-50%  who are crossing illegally?

    A wall won't stop the overstays - they enter legally, just don't leave when they are supposed to. They outnumber the illegal entries.

    So we should just ignore the ones coming in illegally because there are less??? No, that would be like ignoring a theft of $4000 in the store because someone else stole $6000 online. I say arrest both of them.
