For me, alas, neither seems applicable.  I am a complex person in a complex world.

I am simple-minded, slow, dim-witted.

I am simple. And like to keep my world simple.

Given only those choices then the former.  Uncomplicated and slow perhaps, not dim-witted or simple-minded. I guess I like to think of myself as practical and I operate very much based upon my experience of what works and what does not.  When I try to become too complex in my thinking it only ties my brain in knots and immobilizes me. So I stick to the tasks at hand and leave the more complex thinking for those who enjoy it and thrive on it.   But I'm sure you understand that anything can be as simple or as complex as anyone chooses to make it. I'm not a simple person but I'm a private person and live an uncomplicated and quiet life these days.  The world need not be complicated but people choose to believe it is.  If you have a grasp on what is right and what is wrong, you will find the world to not be so complicated.  Don't get caught up in the minutia.  Focus on the important  stuff...........if you know the difference.  This one trips up a lot of folks.
