Have you ever heard of anyone being allergic to honey?*

*I suppose that every substance on earth potentially has someone who is allergic to it.

Honey is unique to the area where it's found.  You could be allergic to it in one area only but fine with it elsewhere.  It's best to buy honey that is local always.  My FIL was a beekeeper.  His honey was sold in all of the stores county-wide.  People think they are getting great health benefits from commercial honey that is sold all over, but local is so much more healthy.   It has to do with the pollen in the area and the job the bees do for us.

  • I am. Not to the substance made by bees, but to being addressed by that word too often.

It's bad for baby teeth. Other than that, it's usually fine.

I haven't, but given the number of people who are sensitive to pollen and bee stings, it's entirely plausible. The stuff is bee chunder.

Do you know that honey is the only foodstuff that doesn't spoil?
