If you had to choose what would you be a Shiek or a Sunni?

Aren't the two main groups of Muslims Shiite and Sunni? I can never remember the diffence. It's not that important to me personally since I'll never be any kind of Muslim. I think the Sunni are the more conservative, fundamentalist group? I should know this but it never seems to stick in my mind.
