Why don't you invite people to your house for Christmas?

I celebrate the birth of Christ at Christmas.  I try to enjoy being with family and friends for Thanksgiving.  Since I lost my daughter, the holidays are hard for me.

I'm very sorry for your loss!! I know this time of year is extremely difficult for those that have lost loved ones in death. I myself lost my husband, and since the anniversary of his death falls in January, there's a certain momentum mounting till that day comes around i struggle with. I draw comfort from the hope of the resurrection found in the Bible. I hope this scripture also gives you a reason to feel comforted. "And i have hope toward God, which hope these men also look forward to, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and unrighteous."  (Acts 24:15)

I no longer stress with the baking and the buying and the going to things I don't care about.

I am staying home tomorrow because I haven't been feeling too well.  But it's all good.  I am very content and grateful for everything that has been given me.

I hope I can make someone smile tomorrow and that will be reward enough.

Mentally hold my hand.  I am going through something tough right now.  Just be you.

    I'm smiling.

Yes, celebrate the birth of Jesus. And I admit -- it's all one day at a time, with, also, somehow, a twinge of the melancholy caught perfectly in one of my favorite Christmas songs

-- Dwight Yoakam's "Come On Christmas"

-- the melancholy mood of this song excites me to no end and makes me happy

I saw Yoakam in concert -- I love the guy and his music. And I'm not even a Country music fan in general. But I'm one of his fans.

Oh, my, I think you might give me too much credit, ha!
    :)
But, on the other hand, more and more, I'm aware of how little credit I give myself sometimes.

Have I ever shared that, to me, Patsy Cline has the best singing voice I've heard? She's a woman. Ha!
    :)
