What would it take for an American to successfully immigrate to Norway?

I hope to immigrate to Norway someday. I need to know what it'll take to do so. Norway is a fairy tale country I hope to raise a family in sometime. I hope I get help in this.

You're in the wrong place. Contact the Norwegian Consulate or Embassy in order to receive the most accurate and most up to date information.

My Uncle Sig came from Norway back after WW2. He found a wife and a job in the merchant marine. Not too much fairy tale living for him in Norway.

    "Fairy tale country"?

Then who would want to live there?
Trolls, dragons, ogres, changelings, dark elves/dwarves, jotnar (giants), draugr (undead) ... not to mention the kraken.

Excellent choice.  Norway is perhaps my favorite country. If I'd been a Norwegian citizen I wouldn't have had to work my way through college.  If you are planning to go to college, you should look into moving there for that purpose.  Check out this website:  https://www.heartmybackpack.com/norway/move-to-norway/.

Sure, if one aspires to avoid taking responsibility and live off the government. In some countries, it's also possible to receive enough on the public dole to not need to work. All that's necessary to provide that is sky-high taxes.
