I had a dental procedure using it. I didn't notice anything and it didn't make me laugh. I guess it wasn't in a pure mixture. Difficult to prank someone by sticking a mask in their face.

Its name comes from the calming effect that it has on the mind and body, sometimes causing a euphoric or giddy feeling that can even bring on a laughing fit.

Why does anyone need to be hysterical for any reason.

What is the thrill in that?  Is life so bleak that this is a relief?

Spend the nitrous oxide money on therapy.    Now THIS makes me laugh.  I am hysterical but not with laughter.  I am hysterical because this jerk is ruining the country and the planet.

I messed around a bit with whippets in college, and I found that it didn't make me laugh so much as get me incredibly high.
