    I have heard of dangling participles.  Not dangling particles.  I guess that is a mixture of language and science.

    Every morning I have this particle dangling in my nose and it's always a bit of a project to get it out. It buzzes when I breathe, and that's hard to take.

    Much to the recipient's dismay, I have an incredibly nasty habit of dangling many enticing particles just out of reach.

    I'm trying not to be a tease all the time.  It is fun, though, to leave them swinging in the wind. .... sometimes!  ;) :)
