Yes,  There is a nice one about 15 minutes from here.  I wonder how long it will last.

I have not been to it in awhile, because it is overpriced.  But it is pretty and fun to walk around.

Here it is, a small part.  Arrowhead Towne Center, Glendale, AZ
    Food  Court.

The one we have here is in a high traffic area. I stay away from it. I haven't been there for ten years.

I hardly ever go there myself.  I have no reason.  I shop in smaller stores or online.

  • Other than strip malls and outdoor outlet malls, we have a big indoor mall about 20 minutes away.  I have only been there twice, and will only go early Sunday morning when they first open, because I rationalize that the meth heads and criminals are likely asleep that time of the day. We have one and it's about 30 minutes from here and full of young G.I.'s. I do not go there because of that and the traffic. I'm not a shopper anyway and avoid shopping on the internet and brick and mortar stores. Grocery shopping is a need so I get over my anti-socialism for 45 minutes or less and that includes travel time.

What's wrong with young GIs?  I'll take them over old men with their pants under their armpits any day of the week.

Around here, the majority of them seem to be looking for a fight.

I'm very lucky to have good genes - no one ever things I'm this old - not even the younger kids in my office.

I have never heard of anyone wanting to avoid GIs. I wonder what they did over there by easyjolene's neck of the woods.

And that's a bad thing?  At least in a mall you're going to see the person as they really look and not the way they portray themselves on line.

I don't like people oogling me.  I do not worry about it any more, but when I was young, I did not like a group of men making comments.

But that has nothing to do with GI's.  It has to do with men in packs.  They get a bit over-the-top.  I can handle anything now.  But when I was younger, I felt very self-conscious when I had to walk past a group of men who wanted to flirt.

I think most women feel that way.  Once you reach a certain age, you just don't care or - you take it as a compliment that they're still interested enough to look. :)  At 73, I'm always amazed that I still get a look when passing a construction site.
