What's the best thing you heard or seen all day?

It was a windy day here in Florida.  I don't know why but I just love the wind.  I feel more connected with nature and the past.  The wind has whispered sweetly to men down through the ages.

Quite a few R Senators are more than likely to vote to convict - if they're interested in keeping their jobs in a couple years.

Actually that is the opposite...if they want to keep their job...they need to vote against impeachment.

Nope. The mood of the electorate is swinging, the high crimes and misdemeanors that His Royal Orangeness is clearly guilty of will make the names of any Senators who vote against stink to high heaven come 2020. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at December 20, 2018 7:57 PM MST

Mattis just QUIT.  That says it all.

Trump's pick?  No one wants anything to do with this cretin.

Troop withdrawal from Syria.  No consulting Mattis.  Mattis gives the middle finger.

The American People are watching this.  The world is watching this weak-a$$ fool.

It is swinging? Yet, the polls (if you trust them...they tend to poll Trump support lower than it is) show support for President Trump the same a President Obama's was at this time in his term.
So just remember I am the one telling he will never be impeached...and he will be President until 2024.

    HEAR HEAR SLARTI.

Imagine getting happy because he wants to shut down the government to blow the budget sky high again for a wall no one cares about at ALL.  Useless nonsense.

LOCK THE CREEP UP ONCE AND FOR ALL.

Why you continue to stand up for a killer of all things Democractic, is beyond comprehension.  I do not mean DEMOCRATS, I mean the freedoms you enjoy because of those that went before this BEAST, speaks volumes.

Why do you persist in sticking your opinion into politics is BEYOND ME.  You are a nice lady.  I have talked with you about many subjects and you always are polite and easy to engage.

But then Mr. Hyde pops in and shows a side that is inexplicable.  This man is a CRIMINAL.  He is ruining your life, not only mine.  He is responsible for the greatest number of lies and deceit that have ever graced this office. No one of any merit can stomach this pig and yet you love him?

No one will mourn his passing out of office.  Even you will be silenced when you see what it is like to be without this MONSTER.  Why don't you just aquiesce and be your sweet self again?  You are possessed,  don't let him possess you.  Take your free will back, My 2.  You can do this.

Lol. Just what right have I lost?  Nothing.

I care about policy...I don't care about some affair he had decades ago. He like Clinton is a sleazy dog. The difference it everyone has known about it for years before he ever ran for any office.
And now he is actually doing what Rep have talked about doing for 3 decades. (And in the case of the border....what Dems talked about doing for nearly 2 decades) We are winning on the trade wars...yay! We are winning on unemployment in every category. We have factories coming back. We have tariffs being removed. NAFTS gone. Yay!
He is bringing troops home. Because they defeated ISIS...but somehow Dems oppose this. Yay!
    Lower taxes. Yay!

Trade wars. Tell that to the midwest soybean farmers who can't sell their crop, because China imposed retalitatory tariffs.
The unemployment curve is levelling off - it was dropping most sharply either side of Trump's inauguration, it's what usually happens when a recovery from a recession occurs (said recession was Bush2's). Check the curves.
    4 GM factories just closed.
Tariffs are increasing across the board - retaliation for Trump's callous disregard for FTAs signed by previous administrations.
ISIS is not defeated, they've just gone guerilla. Butcher Bashar is still in charge - which is why the US armed IS in the first place. Trump is withdrawing troops because Putin told him to - it's a win for Russia and Iran.
Taxes are only coming doen for the top 5% - the workers who are creating the wealth got doodly. This post was edited by Slartibartfast at December 22, 2018 8:18 AM MST

We will win. It takes time. Farmers are being paid for their hardship.
GM mismanagement is not trade wars fault. Continuing to build cars, Americans don't want is GMs fault.

I was hoping to hear that on the radio today on my way in the car but didn't.  Thanks!  We have similar taste in music.  Can you recommend another piece by Muczynski?

I loved that movie, and it was my dad's fave. Clint Eastwood could actually SING, who woulda thunk it? (Not that song, that was Harvey Presnell - Eastwood sang I Still See Elisa, I Talk To The Trees and Gold Fever).
