That isn't about the true meaning of Christmas, now is it?

Well, your entire premise ... that the holiday is to celebrate the birth of Jesus ... is faulty to many people, given that the celebration at this time of year is actually due to "pagan" celebrations that pre-dated Jesus.  But Emperor Constantine wanted to encourage "pagans" to convert to Christianity, so he adopted the celebration (without the human sacrifices at the end) as a Christian holiday.

There are some sects of Christianity that refuse to celebrate Christmas, due to its "pagan" roots.
After all, God wasn't pleased when the Israelites "adopted" the Golden Calf, now was He?

Then why would you say the season is about the birth of Christ?
    Pagans know better.

Where did I say the SEASON is about Jesus Christ.  I asked that you simply play some Christmas songs that refer to Jesus' birth.  That is all I said.

You cannot follow a simple request?  It figures. Are you threatened by Jesus now?  I am not.  Christ consciousness is what Jesus developed during his life and after his death.  He became the essence of Christ consciousness.  And the Goddess?  What do you think she represents?  Christ consciousness is ALL POWER ALL LOVE ALL GOD/Goddess.  You see things differently? That is your perog.
I don't care what you think if you have not gotten that through your brain by now.  You want to argue about nothing.  I asked for a song.  That's it and you gotta turn it into an argument to get attention.  I am not impressed as usual.

Have a nice Yule.    What did you do, read a book or two and now you are an authority on pagan religions?   I was Wiccan for a long time.  It led me to Baba.  I was Catholic before I was anything.  I know Jesus.  I know the Goddess. And I happen to know they are all forms of the same SOURCE.

(That's my . . . I just realized I was going to use the word "favorite" again! I smile at myself. Anyway, I like that verse in the painting a lot.)

You state in the question that Jesus is the "real reason" for the holidays.
Which implies following the "Jesus is the reason for the season" mantra that is so popular the last couple years.
If that was not your intent, I apologize.
I'm just tired of people blindly spouting nonsense this time of year, without a clue how their religion actually came to be.

There's no evidence in ancient history that there was ever a man named Jesus Christ. You sound like a person of pure faith and that's all fine and dandy......................I suppose. This post was edited by Zack at December 21, 2018 12:43 PM MST

You know what there is evidence of ?  Christmas songs celebrating the birth of Jesus.

Play one.  Or don't.  Why get on here?

Actually, there is more historical evidence for the existence of Jesus Christ than there is for any other person in antiquity. More than Caesar, more than Alexander the Great and many other famous people in history. Scholars do not dispute the the Man Jesus Christ lived.

You handle it. I have no desire to tryst with this guy.

It is very hard to debate anything on this site.  You have to spend so much time just getting back to the question because of the way all these stupid pages are set up.  I have to back through page one, two three four just to find the person I am having a debate with.  So, I get tired of it.

I don't think you will get anywhere with him.  Now you can see what it is like to argue with you about politics.
