Do you know what the "alt-right" movement, who is supporting Trump, is?

Milo Yiannopoulos write a manifesto about it on Breitbart.

Anyway, on Thursday, Hillary will be talking about members of this movement in her speech. You will find out if you don't know.

  • There is no such thing. "Alternative" is by nature diverse. There are literally hundreds of different ideologies that could be called "alt right".

It's a meaningless term the left has started using to try to associate the anti establishment right with racism etc etc. It's just typical smear based propaganda.

  • The alt-right is the rightist equivalent of SJWs. Just as self-deluded and full of crap.

  • I have my own opinions, yes.  I'm not sure one could say that they 'all' support Trump, but since the keystone of the umbrella of 'alt-right' is rebellion, that could be true.

It would be wrong however to lump all of them together.  While there are some real nutters and loons among the various groups, there is also a large number of 'hangers on' who are involved not for political ideology but just because it pisses off the adults.

Forty years ago they'd have just grown their hair, worn silly clothes and tried to copy Ziggy's make-up.  Since none of those things will get a reaction any longer, and nobody cares what they wear or how they appear, they are left with attacking what are perceived as cultural norms.  The best way to do that to ex-hippy parents is to become interested and/or involved in the White Power movement or some other aspect of racial disharmony.

It is a bunch of BS... it is another tactic to try and make Trump supporters out to be extreme, racist etc. Both sides are starting to use it.

Basically the "Alt-right" are voters who are not happy with the establishment.

And the is an "alt-left" too...think Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders.

Actually, the one who wrote about the alt-Right is Milo Yiannopoulos. He wrote a manifesto about it. It was published by Breitbart. Look it up yourself: "An Establishment Conservative's Guide to the Alt-Right". But no one has bothered to research it.
