    If Trump is able to close the southern border just like that, why does he need a wall?  Happy Friday. :)

    THE WALL allegedly is to keep out all the bad people.You know the rapists and murderers and terrorists and gang members. American citizens regularly go back and forth to and from Mexico. Shutting down the border I understood to mean that NO ONE GOES IN OUT PERMANENTLY until unless it is reopened. Now of course that may not be within his authority to even do and he may not have figured out what to do with American citizens who are used to crossing the border. I dunno. The guy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer and we know he doesn't play with a full deck. But your question is certainly valid L. Thank you for thoughtful reply and Happy Friday!  :)

    I get what you're saying, but how does he physically close the border in either direction without a wall and, if he can do that without a wall, why do we need to spend billions of dollars erecting one?

    I expect he will deploy the military there AGAIN locked and loaded with orders to fire if anyone tries to sneak through. What else he plans to do I bet even he doesn't know. He is flailing badly and sinking quickly and his ego is so inflated he thinks he is on top of things. Thank you for your reply. L Wait and see sez me. Wait and see! :)

    Well, I hope he isn't planning on the military being down there permanently.  I'm not even sure he do that.  Of course, you can't tell him he can't do something without expecting a tantrum, but we'll have to wait and see.

    On the 11 PM news last night, Mick Mulvaney said that they offered a reduced amount for the wall but wouldn't say what amount.

    There is billions of dollars passed back and forth from those on the other side of the border to those on this side and vice-versa.

    If he does this?  He will be even less popular than he is now, if that is possible.

    People do not like you screwing with their finances.  That is something that is so completely obvious, you cannot hide it in taxes, etc.  It is right there when you cannot get in a country you used to do business with.

    He is going to self-destruct.  It will save us all a lot of work and time.  But we still have the nauseating PENCE to deal with.  Almost the same guy but even more inept.

    Seems a little fishy to me that Trump didn't re bring up the subject of closing  the border until the day after he was accused of putting a Seal team in danger by posting a video of their faces and their location. But even if it has nothing to do with that I figure it proves he doesn't care about the outcome of his actions as long as it makes him look like a hero to his base. Cheers and happy New Year!
