fookin‘ white Guys :/ I’m pretty sure they’re all in hiding now that the metoo movement in affect ( effect?) we don’t have to worry those Dave’s anymore.
I've seen that show, yup! So funny to me! Those guys are great! And, yes, Dave McHoulough is funny AND hot! I actually find all of them attractive. Dave is SO adorable singing this song!!!!
So -- we add Dave to the list of men I cannot take from you. Unless you release them to me afterwards.
Ha! My crush for him ended years ago lol. But yeah he‘s cute. I don’t know he might be friend of Doet hey ( I love that new saying lol) I know some of the guys on that show openly gay back then. Not really sure which ones. They were all great on it but Dave was my favourite for sure :)
Wait a sec! Ha! I just looked at the video on youtube - - this guy's first name is Bruce! Bruce McCulloch -- spelled something like that on the video. Yeah, I remember one guy in particular who was very openly gay. :)
Yeah, that "friend of Dorothy" thing -- as you probably realized, it's a reference to "The Wizard of OZ" being an allegory and 'anthem' for gay men. I never got that and I've always disagreed. I'm very gay but the two things I really like the most about that movie are Margaret Hamilton as "Almira Gulch/The Wicked Witch of the West" and that black-and-white tornado scene at the beginning of the movie. I'm no friend of Dorothy. Ha! (Though Garland is very good in her role.)
Oh shizzat you’re right lol, his Name is Bruce. I guess cos I associate him so much with this song, I was thinking Dave lol. Have you seen play Wicked? It’s the before story for wizard of oz and shows from wicked with point Of view and she is the hero and Glinda good with the bitchy popular girl. It’s so good :)
I've not seen that Wicked play or musical (of course they had to make it into a musical. At least, I think they did.) or anything based upon it. Like you've shared here, I've only heard great things about it, though. I started to read the first book (I believe it was the first book, I'm unsure) and I just didn't get into it. I got up to the point of the birth of the baby Who-Would-Eventually-Become-the-Wicked-Witch, a little green baby girl.
I'm weird sometimes -- I got to that point of the book, right at the beginning, and I thought, "I don't want anything to interfere with my vision and memory and admiration for Margaret Hamilton's Gulch and Witch." It's really her performance in the movie that I so love -- I loved being terrified of her growing up when I watched that movie. As an adult, I still would argue that her performance in the movie is one of the very best performances of anyone in the history of cinema. I like to leave it at that, with no other back stories getting in the way. :) Weird, I know. :)
I don't know any Dave's but maybe I will meet one at the market tomorrow and his head will be made of veal. One of the things I liked best on Kids in the hall was the theme song at the begging of the show - it was just guitar playing but thought it was pretty cool. Cheers and happy weekend!
Lol :) I loved the Gavin and head made of veal :) one of first questions i asked with this account was « if you’re head was made of veal how much would it weigh and what would it be worth?«
