    those were all good guesses, but no cigar. Imagine you bump into some white college prep, you say sorry bro, he says "whoa I'm not your bro dude! Back the f*ck up dude!" You say "Uh, I didn't mean anything by it." He says "Oh it's on now dude, you wanna GO dude? DUDE, LET'S GO!" and then he calls over his other popped collar cronies, the leader of which is called...     I did change my name.  Took my husband's when I married.   Which I liked better than my own.

    I wouldn't change my first name. If I was in situation where I had to, I would probably change it to the older version of it, which I'm not going to post. -_- I think the name my name derives from is much prettier than the one I have. 

    I've considered changing my last name many times over the years. I still have my married name. I thought at some point, I would probably get married again and take my husband's name. Now I don't see that happening. Ever. If I were to change it, I'd probably switch to my mother's maiden name.
