I'm breaking in my chair while waiting for super glue to dry. I'm about ready to do the turning on my sister's birthday ring. I'm inlaying crushed Amethyst. It pretty much looks like a glob of crap right now. After turning I'm going to hit the wood with some purple TransTint dye (dye does not absorb into super glue, so have to turn deep enough to get through any that absorbed into the wood). The wood is birch, popsicle sticks. After a few dyes I'll put a blinding polish on with some clear polyurethane. If all goes well, I'll show the finished product. Should be within a week.
