What in your house could use a good painting? Why don't you get busy?

I just had the outside of mine painted.  Not by choice.

My niece lived here before I did and she painted the walls brown. I don't understand why, but she did not ask my advice. IMO white is the only color for walls, but I would have to carry all my stuff out to repaint. I spent most of a summer carrying it in, so I sort of don't want to do that much work. I have considered printing murals, floor to ceiling:

    Mural 1

    Mural 2

    Mural 3

and some others involving water and sand. But that is a few hundred bux for the printer and supplies, and the result is of uncertain quality. (Printer paper, not wallpaper.) And besides everything else, I don't ever look at the walls much.

This house is 63 years old. My father built it in 1953, on the back of the lot, to house the family (seven kids) while he built a bigger house on the front of the lot. (That house was finished in 1962.) That used to be a rather common thing to do, but I think most people now would haul a family into court if they tried to do such a thing. It's not a free country, you know.

Not by choice? Did you paint some murals out there and then the local govt. came after you?  Were the murals of naked people? Did any look like D.J. Trump?  Perhaps I am asking too many kwestions and not providing any answers?  My great grandfather started a house painting company in 1879. It lasted for about 100 years. His name was Henry Clutter. Thankfully, I didn't inherit that last name. Oh, there is a trail in my hometown called "Harrison Trail". It was named after Wm. H. Harrison.

  • The ceiling could handle one extra coat of white to complete the recent job, but I probably won't bother.

I'd like murals painted on all the walls inside.
    Maybe outside too.

The porch could use a sanding and paint.

You can dry it out and varnish it though.

The whole thing was just painted, inside and outside.   I do need to do a bit of staining and varnishing though.  I will when my hands are healed.
