I hope no one chooses to, because I found this little tidbit on Wiki: " Tests indicated 86 percent of the holy water, commonly used in baptism ceremonies and to wet congregants' lips, was infected with common bacteria found in fecal matter such as E. coli, enterococci and Campylobacter, which can lead to diarrhea, cramping, abdominal pain, and fever.”

I have sampled some water from the Green Springs, Ohio healing spring that has been a sacred place to native Americans for centuries. These days, there is a rehabilitation hospital on the site. They have a few swans and ducks paddling around in the pond. The water stinks of sulfur but is O.K. to drink from the actual spring. It's been 40 years since I drank it, and I have been really healthy since.
