How many people raised* you?


*Actually did the everyday/day-to-day, hands-on, hard work of raising you. Not the "entire village" concept of raising you.

    I was raised quite  a few times by an elevator guy when I was little but every dam one of them let me down eventually.....:(

    Six guys from the football team - 2 held onto my ankles, 2 held onto my arms, while the other 2 tied me to the halyard and hoisted me up the flagpole  (I was too busy screaming to notice if anyone saluted me).

    Twelve - my mother, father and 10 other unwilling stand-ins when my biological parents were preoccupied with their own selfish wants.  Not one of them did any of the "hard work" you refer to.  I should count myself as one of them because I did most of the work.  Call it thirteen.
