My cookbooks. I got one down this evening. Charleston Receipts. I wanted to find a recipe for vichyssoise.  I needed a chair to get it.

  • Thank you :) I’ve asked this question before on other sites. I don’t know why, but I find it interesting what people choose to keep in that cupboard.

  • Don't use it at all. Probably Mom kept baking dishes in there for Holiday lasagna.  Since we only needed them a couple times a year.

  • Probably smart not using it :) I honestly no idea right now what I have up there... and my step ladder is in the basement. I’m watching a scary movie , so I’m not going to basement to get it this time of night :/

  • I don't go into my basement at night ever!  Especially when I watch a scary movie!

*Randall D, hiding in the basement, overhears Jaimie and Cinders talking, and thinks, "Drat!  I've been waiting down here for hours, and now I find out she's not even going to poke her nose in the doorway?  I'm going back to Jane S' place where the pickings are easier. Grrrrr."

  • “Hey Cinders, could you give JaneS a call, while I barricade this basement door. Ask her if she can stop by Randy’s house on her way here . I know where she can get a tray of sandwiches for all of us for dinner. Randy won’t be needing them anymore....

  • I’ve seen you mention before your SO lives in the UK, I assume you’re in the US? That must be challenging at times... but worth it when you get to visit :)

  • Yes I am in the states.  It is very challenging but we both put a lot of work into daily communication, texts, calls and skype.  When I pick him up at the airport its the best day of the year every time:)  We will be together in the spring again:)

Glass jars.  I love clear glass things and have a lot of good glass jars with real screw-on lids that actually seal.  I also have about a dozen glass maple syrup jars.  I buy it by the half gallon now (I used to buy it by the gallon) and pour it into the glass jars and keep refrigerated until used.  My new kitchen has a huge cabinet above the frig.  The front comes out even with the front of the frig so I can keep a lot of stuff up there.

It's a secret, so I can't talk about it.  You have to leave now. Sorry.
