Based on your age or generation do you only listen to music from your past?
Or do you listen to modern music as well? While I just answered a question about the Mama's and the Papa's and posted my favorite song, I have that same song as a favorite by this artist:
I am all over the map with music, it just depends on my mood at any given moment. Lately I've been on a Leon Russell kick, but most of the time it's UFO, Pearl Jam and other Grunge bands, Prince, and some of Govt Mule's older stuff. I like to mix it up with some metal like old Megadeth and Testament as well. Oh, and Camille Bazbaz. I LOVE him.

I enjoy a lot of music from before I was born, I have a real fondness for 90’s music cos I was a teen then, so music was everything to me. I also like more modern music that I’m probably too old for :) (Niki Minaj, Sia ect.) I pretty much love all music genres except modern country and classical. I have noticed though, that I haven’t been enjoying the new music in past year or so. That Cardi B and Ariana Grandi can get the Faaak right off my radio.

No, I like music from all times. I think the older stuff is the best. I don't listen to music like I used to though. I sometime enjoy silence while I read or play online.
That's a cool video but the answer is, no, I listen to a lot of different genres of music BUT I have listened to music from when I was young and "in the market for love" more than from any other time.
My Dad was singer with a band and taught me to like all genres of music. He loved Wham, Sheena Easton, Dolly Parton and Pavarotti:) So my music is all over the place from every generation and whatever new is on the radio. My boyfriend and I share a love for Queen ,10,000 Maniacs,Creedence Clearwater Revival. Adele, lots more.
My favorite genre of music is classical, so that's quite a bit older than me. But I also listen to plenty of brand new music, mostly indie and electronica.
i listen to a lot of mid-late 2000's rap, post hardcore rock, electropop, indie, alt hip hop (literally just odd future), a single nicki minaj album, and like one post malone song
I mostly like music from my generation ... 60's and 70's. But I also like music from my parents' generation and some from my son's. It's all about something being musical and relatable ... making me happy when I hear it.
Mostly I listen to symphonic music, chamber music, and jazz which I hardly knew about at all growing up but learned to enjoy later. Most of which is older music sometimes a couple of hundred years older! Popular music I liked growing up c. 1965 through 1980 I certainly identify with but really have no need to listen to it since it was such a part of the fabric of my life back then that I know it well. On occasion I will play a recording from that period but I own very few. Modern popular music I sometimes hear on TV and I can recognize some of it as accomplished but really does nothing for me emotionally and much of it is offensive. Like they are trying to trash rather than to celebrate.
