Never fall for the whole creepy clown inviting you down into the storm drain act?

  • I LOVE Leslie Nielson.  I had a big crush on the actor on the right though, Robert something-or-other.   GREAT movie. Some of the best movie quotes ever are in that movie.

  • I do too.  That is Robert Hays.  I love how funny these previously serious actors were.  I can watch them over and over again.

  • He started out as a serious actor in the 50's in TV and movies. Airplane changed his career in the 90's.

Never saw any of these movies.
    :(

I figure I'm supposed to love Eastwood's character and cheer his badass on.
But the other guy is way hotter to me than Eastwood. I fast-forwarded the scene -- of course, I knew it'd end that way.

I'm in a pisspoor mood, I'm sorry for sounding mean.

  • Nope. People either like Eastwood or they don't, it's not a big deal either way.  He's a local guy, so I have always appreciated that, and his 'badass' movies.   He was the mayor of Carmel for a bit, but I didn't follow his politics.   The health department was always on his A$$ because his restaurant, Hog's Breath, was always in violation.  Finally he sold it. Not sure if it's still called Hog's Breath, but it used to be PACKED despite his well known health code violations, which I always found amusing. Thanks, lavender.
    :)

I shouldn't be on the site - - having some challenges this rough week, whatever.

I have never seen any Dirty Harry movies and I probalby would not enjoy them, from scenes like this. But I do admire Eastwood's talents. I've seen some movies of his I've liekd and he's a great director- - even though at the moemnt I can't think of any movies he's directed.

I liekd that Play Misty movie he was in.

Adn he directed some movie, I think -- it had sean penn in it maybe? About seom gu y freinds who had got abused in a school or something? I have no idea if i'm remembering anything about it riught. but I thought this moive was good.

TYpos, I know. my true typist ability shows. I'm not spending the usual ten minutes on each of my posts to get everything correct.

  • I am the typo queen, and have dyslexic challenges, so I am the last person to point out typing errors.  So, no worries there.  I hope your week gets better for you.

    Thanks, lavender.

All is well, all will be well.

My feelings just take time sometimes to catch up with what I know is true.

I realize I'm not being very open minded about the Dirty Harry character.

And that's pretty interesting and fun about living near Eastwood and his restaurant.

  • Doing a somersault on the hood of a car with a loaded pistol in one hand may not really be a great idea.

Mmm. Not sure that I agree.
I think there are millions who would say no one deserves to die before age and natural causes claim them. That would be those who don't agree with the death penalty for any reason (many Christians and a majority of liberals), and pacifists who believe that there is always a better solution to conflicts than war and spend a lot of time working professionally in psychology, law, diplomacy and conflict resolution
