It’s lovely there. They also have all these bikes you can rent and drop off and pick up spots all over the city. I was especially excited when I found out all the museums free! I can’t wait to get back there again. I don’t think this is a great time to go though lol.
If they have another shutdown .. it won't be fun! Normally, we just walk around for hours and hours .. so much to see and do. Riding a bike would be great. My daughter in law works for the Government now .. so she's down there all the time. She's a great tour guide. You should check out the National Zoo, if you haven't ... or the Spy Museum. I could go on and on .. but I'll spare you. :)
I never made it to the zoo:) I am hoping to go there for a couple days this late spring. Hopefully the shutdown will be over by then for you:/ If I do go I’ll look for you for suggestions places to visit :)
I've been to Philly, D.C., Nashville, Buffalo and Baltimore. Please note that New York City, which everyone thinks is completely crime-ridden, isn't even in the top 20. Thank you.
Don't know what they are... Tijuana?, Juarez?...been there done that Afghanistan?...been there done that. Throw in Turkey, Iraq, Iran have seen a few but not the worst. Never been to that place where the kids ride by on a motorbike and grab everything you are carrying, and where roaming gangs will do you in... but have seen enough of big city violence.
I've been to Richmond, CA and Oakland, CA, both of which make various lists of dangerous cities. Oakland has its nice parts, though. It's the BART stations that freaked me out. People get robbed and stabbed there.
i never been to usa, but i think usa is more dangerous than canada, notably because the usa gun laws allows citizens to buy guns and own guns, and here in canada, its very limited to what you can own.
