Which TV series (of any type) got canceled prematurely, in your opinion? ~

  • Carnivale...it was an HBO series and a pretty fantastic one at that.  I guess the following wasn't large enough though because it got the ax.  And the ending it received was the series writer sharing in an article how he THOUGHT he was likely going to eventually end the series.  Still breaks my heart to this day.

    A Year in the Life.  It was too serious to have mass appeal.

    "American Gothic" from the 1990's

    (I believe there is a more recent series with the same name, I'm not talking about that one, though.)

     -- this was a chilling show with a marvelous cast
