The last two Republican presidents did the same thing. Not like Trump thought it up by himself. Pence is a (sad) gimmick to pander to the Bible Belt Conservative base.

I would take Dick Cheney any day of the week of that religious A_H--E Mike Pence.
He would burn at least a third of my coworkers since they are either Gay or Lesbian. He would have the Doc and myself stoned for adultery since we are not married and are parents. We would both be stoned sine we are also both divorced. We fornicate on Sundays, are recovering Catholics and the list goes on.
And he probably scares you for all the right reasons. This idiot thinks Jesus is talking to him. Right in his ear. And whatever Mike is thinking is what Jesus must be saying to Mike. How gratifying to know that we all can put the Vice guy in charge of my spiritual life. This is actually happening, right? A little white guy with the knowledge of a child is going to run my spiritual life? Yes?
Well, the fact is, Mike Pence knows less about the spiritual afterlife than Mickey Mouse.
Much less.
So. Pence needs to first get a life and then figure out what a spiritual one is. And he is such a sanctimonious fool that no one can be in the same room with him without starting to feel itchy. Ya know?
Nice Teeth agree with all points. Indiana's Bible Belt is a frightening place to visit, the people though nice are scary. Pences wife and her public statements are some of the most vile I have heard.
The exception is Muslim Fundamentalists those guys are scary. Did some volunteer translator work in East Africa last year on a voluntold work assignment. The Immans and the Brain Washed could have been Fundamentalists Christians, or Ultra Orthodox Jewish. Except these folks will kill you
He chose Pence as his designated holy roller to satisfy his base. Trump wants to appeal to Christians .. but he's the antithesis of that ... so he has Pence. All PR IMO.
Well I think Trump will be in for a surprise if he thinks Pence will pardon him. Pence's wife doesn't like Trump - Pence calls his wife mother and little boys always listen to their mommies so if she tells Pence not to pardon Trump he won't. Cheers!
It was genius. It was the first choice that reassured conservatives that Trump was not a liberal in disguise who would pick liberal judges.
And yes, many people were more afraid of Pence because he is a politician who knows how to play the game and to get stuff done. So remember that when you holler for impeachment.
