  • Not sure how they write,  but if they sound any thing like Kiwis ( which they do) hearing them say ‘ I’m just sitting on the deck’ is hillarious :)

    Our script is the same as yours.
    Our spelling, punctuation and grammar follow the English.
    Apart from accents, we have many variations in pronunciation, vocabulary and idiom.

    Main differences include:
    metric versus imperial measures,
    opposite seasons of the years,
    vastly different ecologies and geographies,
    many subtle differences in cultures and values,
    time zones roughly 16 hours ahead of yours - hence for us Valentine's day is now nearing sunset while yours has not yet begun,
    generally about 5% further left in politics and 20% less inclined to be religious,
    generally much less prudish and more matter of fact about sexual matters,
    more diplomatic and polite but in a casual guise, and
    differing senses of humour, much more akin to the British.
