Vegas is a touchy subject to me as well but, that was back in October. I will never ever go to Vegas again. EVER.

I have never gone to Vegas. I drove past it.   I have no interest in it.  I am not banning it or anything.  Just not my first choice.  I would rather do something exotic like visit Puttaparthi India.

Wasn't that a great one?  Anything with voo doo in it always makes it a better thing.

  • Did you purposefully try to turn Vegas into an Easter tradition or was it just a coincidence that you happened to go around the same time both years?

  • It‘s super cheap flights and stay there Easter. I guess normal people don’t want to spend religious holiday in Sin City. Go figure.

  • Yea, I suppose March/April are off months for the most part when it comes to travel.  Too close to summer.

  • I think the reason Vegas is so cheap for Easter weekend is cos none of the big acts there are playing... guess they do Easter too. My flight return trip was under $300 and stay at casino resort ( a nice one) $36 American a night! Everything else still expensive as faaak though :)

I'm only looking forward to my husband's birthday in April. I don't know why, but, I'm not a big fan of the Easter holiday. And, the holiday has nothing to do with my faith. It's the time of year. It seems sad to me.

Well, that is interesting to me.  In this sense.  Sometimes we need periods of mental rest.   Sometimes it is okay to be sad and just let everything hang out for awhile.  We cannot always be happy.  Sometimes we need the comfort of being sad as that Kurt Cobain once said.   Of course he did off himself.... nevermind.

    Oh well, whatever, nevermind….

Too much on my timetable to be thinking about Easter yet.
No doubt when it comes there will, as usual, be far too much needing to be done, and I'll manage to accomplish only about 5% of it.

I'm kind of looking forward to St. Paddy's Day. A little. I don't know how I'm going to spend it this year, particularly because it's on a Sunday, but I usually find a few fun things to do.

Easter... meh. It's more for the kids. I'm not religious, so it's all about decorating eggs, doing an egg hunt, and having the kids search for hidden baskets. ... aaannnddd... this question just made me check my calendar. I won't have my kids that weekend. So, yeah. I will be doing a whole lot of nothing.

I love the family tradition part.  I wish I would have realized this before now.

  • One of my kids last year developed this fascination with the whole crucifixion story because I"m guessing he found the violence of it all to be "cool"  LOL
