Does any of your neighbors that you've never spoken to have dogs ,yet you know the name of the dog bu not its owners ? ."...
I know our neighbour has a dog named Barking.....as he's forever shouting out "Shut up Barking" late at night and the dog stays quiet for a while.... :(
Hmmm, not as far as not knowing their name but I do have a neighbor that has a black lab I totally adore. When we are both outside with the kids I'm way more interested in paying attention to the dog than the neighbor.
Don't do that.....you're Kennel Club registered and fully paid up...Ive even got you parts in two film remakes... One is Straw Dogs and the other one is *#~^+=g Goofy :)D
We have two Labradors and know most other Dog Owners in our Neighborhood. We do not associate with anyone with small "Yappers". Think Yorkie's and other verminous small dogs. Doc and I cannot understand small dog owners and what motivates them.
Little dogs with the exception of the King Price Charles were bred originally as ratters. Aka their job was to hunt and kill rats. So they had to be mean and viscous. Why anyone would want a ratter in their house is beyond me.
Big dogs had the viciousness bred out so they could do other jobs safely around humans for the most part. Rottweilers, Dobermans, and some Schafer Hunds were bred by the German Army (Heer) for guard duty etc. There was a standing order that Dobermans had to be put down at 7 years for fear they would attack their handlers. Rottweilers were thought to mellow with age and were not allowed on guard duty past 9
I think I have met the neighbors' dogs before I met them a few times. (We had one neighbor whose dog was named John and their son was named Hezekiah! Struck me as kind of strange .. lol!)
I've heard them say their dog's name a million times but I can't remember what it is because I'm so annoyed by its yapping. The reason I don't know my neighbor's name is because we just have our own little nickname for her that we use so often that we can't remember her real name.
