    The opposite of a control freak is a "doormat" - someone who lets others do as they please (to them, or their abode and interests.)
    The doormat lets the control freak get away with dominating behaviours - may often kow-tow or obey "for the sake of peace" and pays a very high price for it, often in chronic depression.


    The in-between position of having good clear boundaries and a commitment to negotiating free and willing agreements in relationships is the ideal.
