What are some techniques to calm your nerves when talking to someone famous?

    I might get nervous talking to a judge if I am being convicted of something.  That is the only person of importance I can think of that would make me nervous.   Talking to someone like Lady Ga Ga would not even phase me.


    I don't have any techniques.   With the judge, I would just behave nervously.

    Huh?  I know you, however whether you are famous or not I don't know that.  If you are famous, well, I don't what for, but I wouldn't be surprised: as smart as you are.   Perhaps you are a journalist since you are so OCD about language and writing.

    EXACTLY.  

    I remember being very drunk in the 70's and going up to Chicago's Mayor Bilandic (SP?) to ask him if he'd like to come to my Christmas Pajama Party.  He declined.  That is the only famous person who anyone ever let me near.

    lol No. Well, maybe. Oh my gosh are we having a HUGE music season here. I have been dying pouring over the Spring/ Summer concert list. 

    Oddly enough, I get matched with a fair amount of notables on dating sites; a few b-list actors, radio personalities, news anchors, and other odds and ends. Most, I don't feel strange about talking to because I don't know them or their work really well beforehand, but sometimes I do wind up connecting with someone who is well-accomplished and I have trouble talking to them normally once I realize who they are.
