I am in one now...She is my Princess and I am her Knight. It works for both of us. Nothing sexual...just love and respect. Many here already know.

    Hello Neelie
Yes I have. pre-answermug there was a site called answerbag, from where many members came here.
There was a woman there with whom I became involved. It started as conversation on the site, which moved to flirting, which led to e-mailing, which turned to phone calls. We decided to meet in person, so she flew out to California and we spent a week together. After a few trips of me going to N.C. and her coming to California she decided to move out here. So I flew to N.C. we rented a moving van, packed her up and drove across the country. She moved in and we spent 3 years together. It was wonderful and we shared many good times. Eventually we grew apart and separated. She still lives here in California however we are no longer a couple. We parted amicably and remained friends.
I would say it worked out good, we had a great couple of years and I hold no animosity. We just wanted different things.... this was about 10 years ago.

  • I get goose pimples when I hear such warm romantic stories. Pity you grew apart.
I was on Answerbag too before moving over here. What was your username there?

    Hello again Neelie..
I will always remember my time with her as a good time in my life.
My user name was 'Designer" at first, I changed it to "Designer is wearing a Smile", as her user name was "Smile", and at the time ,many people were adding "is wearing a COAT" to their names. I believe the "COAT" stood for "coalition of anti-trolls".
My Avatar at answerbag was another photo of me, I was standing in a river.
What was your user name there? This post was edited by designer at March 5, 2019 7:00 AM MST

I was a bit saddened when AB was shuttered. I very much enjoyed many of my conversations there. I would have liked to see many more AB members migrate here. Had there been any warning I would have traded email address's with a few of the members of AB.

Oh yes, some relationships are for a season.  People come into our lives and when, such as this time, the possibility of ever meeting each other was so remote, one would have to feel foolish for not acknowledging the near miracle that is.   This post was edited by Thriftymaid at March 6, 2019 12:11 AM MST

    Hello Thriftymaid
I don't know if I could have been considered "fun"..
I had the same name as here, although I had it as "Designer is wearing a Smile" for awhile...
By the way, I guess you were talking about the name "Fun", I remember someone named Fun1..

    Yeah FUN1 and Shelley.

I was friends with them.  They gave a lot of points to me.  I am greedy that way.

Yes, I remember now.  I think Fun also was in a long distance relationship with an ABer.  I'm glad to know who you are now.  :)  Are you still wearing a smile?

I've been on more than 1 and they all are no longer in my life except for one. I've actually met this person 3 times and she continues to be in my life. The others were never really serious about the relationship thing. That's why I guess they are no longer in my life.

Friendships aside, yes. Good or bad is debatable. Bad in the sense they didn't work out. Good in the sense that I feel like I'm a better person for having known them and have remained friends with them.
