If you absolutely HAD to sell any of your furniture right now, how much of it would you get rid of?

A. All of it, everything must go!

B. One room's worth in particular.

C. A few pieces of it from around my entire residence.

D. One piece of it only.

E. No, Randy D, you may not have my old mattress, so quit begging me for it (perv).

F. None of it, I just bought it.

G. There are no tildes hidden in the cushions, you wouldn't be interested.

  • C.  A few pieces.  We just moved to a smaller home a few years ago and downsized a lot of stuff already!

    G

I merged households with someone briefly last summer and got rid of 50% of my furniture. Another 25% went into storage and never came back out, even after the un-merge. The few pieces I still have serve important functions. I didn't keep anything non-essential. That said, I'm not particularly attached to any of what remains. So, if I HAD to get rid of something...

Hmm... well, I have two rooms of my home and a garage filled with other people's furniture. Am I allowed to get rid of that instead of my own? Otherwise, I'm pretty much relegated to getting rid of something I actively use. I could get rid of a bookcase, maybe.

Or, if I had a budget to replace it, I'd probably just ditch it all and start new.

My whole living room and dining room.  I don't like cumbersome furniture that cannot be easily moved and weighs a ton.  I just want to pay someone to dismantle it and get it out of here.

It was my mom's stuff.  I am more a light and free style person.

Everything belongs to someone else except for one thing and that goes with me forever.  This post was edited by Art Lover at March 7, 2019 10:45 PM MST
