Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Boeing stock is taking a steep nose dive. The 2nd 737 Max 8 crashed in 5 months. This one in Ethiopia killed 157. Would you fly in one?
Flying seems very dangerous to me. Yet some people do it all the time. And I have done it perhaps more than I should have. Maybe I will stop doing it. Or maybe only allow myself to once or twice more and hope for the best.
We stopped a few years ago Sharon. We're too old to schlep to LAX (100 miles away) park in the parking lot schlep our luggge to the airport via the commuter bus that goes from parking lot to airport...stand in line to get checked out taking off shoes and jackets and emptying pockets...gather up our belongings and clothing on the other side and getting put back together again then schlepping to the proper gate and waiting then getting on the plane finding that the space above your seat is taken by others so you have to struggle to find a place for your. carryon Then flying for however many hours. Then landing and repeating everything in reverse you did to get there. Then when you go home you repeat. repeat repeat repeat. I'm EXHAUSTED just writing this let alone actually DOING it. We gave it up in our 70's. Anyone wants to see us can come here. Otherwise there are phones and email and snail mail and cards. Thank you for your reply. We are DONE with that kind of travel by agony and misery and inconvenience and dull irritating annoying time-wasting tribulation! :)
