  • I don't hold out any hope for our governments and leaders.  They're all corrupt even if they didn't start out that way.  It's the nature of the beast!

Well they are NOT our ally.  They are our opposition. Canada is our ally.  Russia is someone who would do anything to take over our country.  Canada would not do that.

    That is the difference.

    You need to define GOOD.

Trump is collaborating with Russia to hurt us.  That is not ever a GOOD.

I remember reading once that "The idea of hope is sold to the masses to give them a sense of nobility in being poor, there's no food in the cupboards but at least we have hope!"

However, getting cancer tends to put us all on a level playing field when it comes to hope.

Without hope, we'd be in an eternal depressed state and some would take their own lives.

    Hello Natz.
While hope is good for fostering a positive attitude, hope without action is an empty proposition.
I can hope all I want that "tomorrow will be a better day", but if I do nothing to change the circumstance that caused "today" to be not so good, hope is wasted. If you hope to be a millionaire but then sit on your Duff and wait, hope means nothing.
