What came first?  The egg or the mate?  Or the mate that was chicken and had the other mate propose?  I dunno.

Watch it before you criticize this answer.  At least I answered.  No one else dared.

Why didn't Schroedinger's cat cross the road? It was already there...or not.

We had know each other for awhile;  Think group runs Triathlons, Marathons etc.  Our friends kept trying to set us up, I avoided her in that respect because of our age difference.  I was attracted to her of course, very attracted.

Now enter two Labrador pups after my old dog died.  She asked to come over to meet the Resident Labradors.  Now years later, who knows who chose whom..........  Remember a guy chases a woman until she catches him

She picked me. She was a gold-digger, and compared to the losers she had been with before, I had the gold.

I would have said I did.
But found out later he had been working up the nerve to ask me out for a while. It was good he was slow....I would have turned him down as I was dating someone else.
I started flirting with him a couple of weeks after a breakup.

He chose me by mistake.  That is the truth.  My friend and I met two guys by picking up hitchhikers that we thought we knew until they hopped into the back seat.  I didn't say a word.  She talked to them.  They were trying to get to a concert and we were going to drive right by the venue.  My husband got my friend's and my name mixed up and called me for a date.  When he got to the door he was surprised when he realized I wasn't the other girl.  That is how that started.

He chose me but I felt a bit of an attraction to him too, otherwise I wouldn't have given him a chance. I've had guys ask me out several times but I said no to all of them, I've just been waiting for the right nerd to finally approach me.

Mutual.  And no illusion.  The joyful and giddy discovery that we thought along the same lines and enjoyed each other's company.

I went up to her when we met. Chatted her up. Got her phone number, asked her out after a week, proposed after several months - so you could say I picked her.
On the other hand, she didn't ghost me, she didn't have to say yes and she answered my marriage proposal by taking my virginity. Does that count as mutual?

You made the initial approach, so you picked her.

Yea yea yea. I was the dumb arse that initiated everything and I paid for it with my sanity.
