Discussion»Statements»Rosie's Corner» Does the weather affect your mood? Are you nicer when it's hot than when it's not? Are you bolder when it's colder?
Apologies. I do not have a clue what the above means. Heiss? Aussie for ice? Arthur? As in itis? Arthur itis? Shot in the dark. Thank you for your reply. Always leave 'em laughing. Always keep 'em guessing.
Heiss. German for hot. Arthur's last name is Rytis and he bothers me a LOT more in winter. Dreary and mis'rable, gloomy and glum Cold as the hair on a polar bear's bum ...

How does 75 degress F suit you? It's kinda a favorite spot. San Diego, California is supposedly the best climate anywhere. Hemet gets VERY HOT. Where you live gets VERY NOT, right? Thank you for your reply Shuhak! :)
The best days are the ones where it's sunny and between 70 and 80. We usually get a few of those kinds of days between late March and early May, as well as from mid-late September through October.
The average high temperature here ranges from around 52 in December to around 89 in July. We usually see 4-8 days where the temperature tops 100. While it's rare to get temperatures over 107, I have seen it reach 115. The average lows range from around 60 in July to around 35 in December. 35 is just an average as we get many nights with temperatures in the low to mid 20's. While it's uncommon to see temperature get down into the teens, I have seen it dip to -1 here (back in the early 70's). I've not only seen it reach 77 here in December, but I've also seen it snow here in July (graupel).
Yes, California does have the best climate.. but it's very hard to be able to afford to live here.
The range of temps is much bigger here in Hemet Shuhak. Since we've lived here (Novermber 2007) the coldest it got was 29 and the hottest 115! AARRGGHH! Cost of living ain't cheap. We rent but we have a very kind landlord who lives in Arizona. It's a two-bedroom two-bath home in a retirement village. When we moved in the monthly cost was $790. Now we pay $895 so the raises have been I think very fair. Other such places are over $1200/month. So why is he being so kind? Well he looks upon us as "parents" and took an immediate liking to Jim. Jim is adorable. Everyone loves him. So we feel very lucky. We could move to a different state but we both have Kaiser insurance and Kaiser isn't in Nevada or Arizona where Jim's sons live. My son lives in Honolulu where Kaiser is big but unless we win the lotto that isn't ever going to happen. California is a blue state. I cannot imagine living in one that isn't. We've spent the majority of our adults lives here in golden state. So many of our memories are here. I'm pretty sure we're gonna die here! Thank you for your reply and Happy Tuesday! :)
