Do you subscribe more to the 'knowledge is power' or 'ignorance is bliss' schools of thought?

Do you think this is something that is a conscious choice or is it mostly out of your control?

I subscribe to both schools of thought.  Knowledge is power in the sense that you can achieve more in life. And the more you know the better your chances of survival and having a better life.  But sometimes I wish I didn't know some of things that I do, thereby  subscribing to the  ignorance is bliss way of thinking.  Once it's in your head it remains there forever, good or bad.

I agree with you. I find it incredibly difficult to be ignorant about things, and I often sincerely wish that I could!

So many things I wish I could un-know.

    Humph!
    Nazi stole my answer.
I agree with both SavvyAnsley and her.

Knowledge is power, and it requires not only conscious thought but also elbow grease.
