If will have to brush up on what you're inferring as I much prefer answer that just don't suck yours just left me in a vacuum .and didn't take the muck.... :)
i eat bread as sandwiches for my lunchs, but my mom dont... shes doing a special diet, and since bread turns to sugar in the blood, she dont eat it...
we left bread in the fridge; but my mom tend to want to throw it in the garbage if that makes a few weeks thats its there; and im like ' no !, dont throw it in the garbage, its still good '...
because bread tends to last very long.
I also tend to throw bread outside at squirrels and birds so they can eat.
I freeze all our bread when it's fresh. We only take out what we're using at the time. If you wrap it well, it can keep in the freezer for a long time.

I store my Bread in the pantry in a bread box with a latch on it because my rodents are tricky little critters...very intelligent. They figure out everything due to their problems-solving skills such as...how to keep me awake at night by building a 4-lane highway in the ceiling directly above my bed providing an egress from said breadbox to the back side of the house. Wait..this was about bread?! Ughhhhhhhhhhh

C. It stays fresh longer. I toast bread 100% of the time so it doesn't matter that it has that refrigerator stiffness to it; it's going into the toaster anyway.
Yeah, I guess if toasting is fine in the fridge. I’ve just never heard of anyone doing that before this week, and seems like almost everyone here does lol.
When you get used to having your bread toasted, it sort of taste uncooked when you eat it fresh from the bag...it's gummy. Toasting has almost ruined my enjoyment of fresh bread other than warm from the oven. Now that is a delight.
