    Hello again, AS:

Now, we're getting somewhere..  I don't think the number of people you're addressing makes what you say racist or not... Even if I accept your proposal that he was addressing only SOME of them, makes what he said no less racist..

  • Maybe...but I think Trump is being disengenuous in his statments.

The flip-flopping is outrageous and it isn't just the left that's ridiculing it.

I would be interested in re-visiting this discussion with you in 1.5 years (if we are both alive and still on Answermug)  I'll admit I'm wrong if there is a radical change for the better and change my avatar to an Orange goat wearing a T-shirt with a picture of Trump on it.

If I'm right..you need to change your avatar to a an eagle wearing a Hillary hat for a week.

That's assuming Trump wins (and I am not a HC supporter BTW)

Why does anyone listen to him?

Many countries have open borders.  Europe is a great example of open borders.  It's just like going from one state to another.  When he says we have no border it is obvious his meaning is that what we have isn't effective.  As to your last comment you are probably correct.

We need to listen and hold him accountable for what he says, because he's poised to con his way into the American presidency. I hate to think of the insanity that could result from that, and I think there's still a chance it could happen.

The catch and release programme has not existed since the days of George W. Bush, and more illegal immigrants have been deported under Obama than any previous US president. I don't like liars!

If there has not been a catch and release program since the Bush years, how do you explain all those who crossed the border, caught, given summons to appear and then released with no tracking ability that has been going on under Obama. The Border Control Agents would definitely disagree with you.  In addition, Obama's 'deported' count includes those turned around at the border (which is NEW) and those ordered deported, but actually don't leave, but disappear.

If it's anything like my side of the pond, the border agency are probably overstretched due to spending cuts introduced because of the economic collapse, so they will be struggling to do a good job.

Yep, spending cuts, juggling of funding, and the Administration tying one hand behind the backs of our Border Agents.
