Do you go by a nickname? Is the name you are known as the name you were born with or is it different?

No one ever called me anything but ROSEMARIE. A big name when you're a little kid. I wanted to be Ann. When I was 30 I met a gal who became a good friend and right off the bat she called me ROSIE! It stuck. If it were not for her I'd probably still be ROSEMARIE. I think I grew out of being Rosemarie and grew into being Rosie! Weird though. You'd think it would be the other way around right? Nickname when you're young and a PROPER name when you're old! But where's the fun in that? Where's the fun in being typical average ordinary strict bythebook PROPER when you're old. I wouldn't know. I'm not. Are you?

Professor Screwtop after a character in the Beano, being the brainiest in class but sometimes seeming slightly eccentric when my hearing let me down.

Did anyone ever call you that to your face Malizz? You were hard of hearing when you were young? Did you by any chance skip a few grades? If you were considered to be "the brainiest in class" that can isolate you. Did it? Were you shy or outgoing? Thank you for your reply. I cannot imagine anyone using the word "screw" in any context relating to you.

No.  Just Sharon.  I made up a lot of names on here, but I go by my real name in real life.

I've always been RosieG on Answerbag and here. As you well know. No need to change it. I also never rearrange furniture. No need to change it. I'm happy not being other iterations of me.  Different strokes. Thank you for your reply Sharon. This post was edited by RosieG at April 2, 2019 12:43 PM MDT

Apologies. I just corrected it BEFORE I read this. I notice that more and more I have to correct what I thought was already perfect. I am declining Sharon. I see it. I experiemce it. I live it each day. I'm 81. SIGH. It will be downhill from here on. Profuse apologies for all my future certain screwups.

Don't apologize.  You made a typo.  I would not have joked if I thought you wouldn't laugh.  I make typos all day and night.  But then again... I'm declining too.

No D. That is incorrect. I was ROSIE GHM JETPACKER. Mental Mum invited me to join the Jetpackers and I told her I had a fear of heights and I could not fly off to different places to save people in distress. So she appointed me an HONORARY MEMBER..thus the HM. The G is for my surname. And that's that. Thank you for our reply. My job was to bake fresh cookies and make cocoa from scratch to give them before they flew away to save people. I did the same thing upon their return. Freshly baked cookies from scratch and cocoa from scratch. You were in the ballpark but not on base D because you did not know the backstory. Now you do.

Ed or Eddie. First 2 initials. They started calling me Eddie after Eddie Hascal from 'Leave it to Beaver'.
