When you close your eyes, do you actually see darkness, or does your brain merely perceive darkness that isn’t really there? ~

    I can see through my eyelids.  I can see shadows passing if the light is right.  

    I do think you are on to something.  I think that we see all one shade mostly and our mind fills in the BLACK.

         The covering of darkness
    is a veil that we see.
    Beyond the darkness is
    the light of your consciousness.
         Those who do deep meditation
    can pierce that darkness
    and can experience the light of joy,
    happiness and deep understanding
    of their being.
