Yes.  This was a prototype for the future.  A precurser.  It is not identical.  It was veering towards what we have now.  Before this?  THERE WAS ROMPER ROOM.  I mean we came a long way  to reach PEE WEE and it was stupid but compared to what was before?  It was  quite progressive.

  • Your generation was sitting in the peanut gallery during Howdy Dudey.  You aren't allowed to call our stuff stupid.

Wait. I am not doing that.   ??? I am not calling anything stupid... but since you mention it, it's all stupid.

I Watched Howdy Doody.  I was FIVE.  I like him. I had a Howdy Doody puppet and if I were the visionary I brag about  being, I would have kept him and that box and cleaned up.  That and all the cars I could have bought as a young person and just stored away somewhere and sold TODAY.  I would be rich as hell.  I'm digressing because I'm stoned.  Poetic license.

... do you have a problem with my age?  LOL

HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA It's okey.  I DO NOT. I would never want to be young now.  That should give you hope that getting old is not a bad thing.  It is great if you know how to live and are true to yourself and don't fear DEATHHHHH MWAAAAHAAAAHAA This post was edited by WM BARR . =ABSOLUTE TRASH at April 5, 2019 2:06 PM MDT

I did watch it when I was an adult  but it's not like I mimicked him and wore mirrors on the toes of my shoes. Cheers and happy weekend!

It was on the show he used them to look up Hamies sisters dress. I really got a kick out of that Captain Carol and his flying dinosaur. Cheers and happy weekend!

Yeah, I freely admit my weirdness.

I discovered that PeeWee's Playhouse show an an adult. To this day, I find the show better and more enjoyable than many shows of any kind.
Lots of kooky fun to me!

And, to me (and I seem to be in a minority, I know), as far as his 'having fun' in that theater? What else would one do in such a place? It was an adult theater. With true atrocities that many other people seem to get away with, why care about this man getting off? He was hurting no one and he got crucified.

  • I was young when all that theatre stuff happened so I don’t really remember about that. The show is a trip as an adult :) I’ve been been watching bits and pieces all morning :)
