If it were within your power to do something GREAT for the world what would it be? Why?

Thank you for your great reply Walt. I think you think more of homo saps than I do. The thing I would do would be to change the nature of man. Eliminate hatred and greed and deceit. What do you think we could accomplish then? I'm gonna ask. I appreciate your taking this serious question seriously. You stand apart from the crowd and I appreciate that too. :)

Well ... if we could quickly travel to other planets, it would pretty much put an end to greed.
There are at least 2 planets that have so much gold and diamonds, to make those materials worthless if we could access them.

How do we KNOW that Walt? Once again I am NOT challenging you. I just don't understand how we can know what lies beneath and below on other planets so far away from us? And I do not agree that travel to other planets would put an end to greed. Everywhere you go people are the same. Whatever "riches" there are there some want all of it or most of it. Whatever the character/temperament of the the people are some will want to RULE and USE POWER. I don't think location or situation has anything to do with it. How do I KNOW? I don't but everywhere on this planet it is a template. The cruel vicious evil take over and those who aren't either fight them or don't. SIGH. Well, you're right that it wouldn't end greed.
But resources are valuable because they are rare.  So if we had easy access to all the resources in the galaxy, they would all be worthless. 

That's why there is no widespread use of currency in StarTrek.
How do you have a currency backed by (say) gold, when you have an entire galaxy of gold at your disposal?  

Great question D. Scary as he** too! I just read that plastic is being found in fish! WHAT? Yep! Since Dondon took over regulations pertaining to the environment are all but gone. That means the ground the water the air is being polluted daily by deadly chemicals. No one gives a sh** about any of it. Our National Parks are no longer sacrosanct. If builders want to come in, denude the forest and build condos they can! So whatever fat awaits the Dondon has insured its acceleration. The FDA is a joke. The EPA is a joke. The entire gubment is a joke. We are ducks in a shooting gallery. It is only a matter of time. Thank you for your reply and the question...another one I cannot answer. SIGH.

You mean acceptance? Being detached from outcomes Kg? Whatever befalls us is a good because it is what is? Intellectually that would make life easier on us. No more swimming upstream against the tide. No more fighting to preserve or fighting to achieve or fighting to survive. Stoic. But emotionally and pragmatically I don't know how that would be effected. Some folks are already like that. They go with the flow. They shrug, acknowledge and move on. They are not engaged in changing anything. I'm not like that and I cannot imagine being like that. Of course there are some things that matter naught to me and so I accept them.
