What is the most magnificent breakfast that you can remember?

I'll bet there was coffee.

Steak (rare), eggs sunnyside and fries all with a good soaking of tabasco sauce. 'Course coffee too.

A simple breakfast with strawberries, a bagel and coffee and I am happy

  • My usual breakfast is bastami rice pilaf, curried mixed greens, split pea soup- all homemade. Seasoned flatbread- purchased and tea.

UGHH  How could you put tobacco sauce on that and ruin everything.  I hate that stuff.

Then you probably wouldn't like the pickled herring I often have too ha, ha. That is so delicious...Or the leftover Swedish meatballs.

At a place called Roger Rabbit's, I forget what they called it, but it was basically a pile of fried tater tots topped with sausage, eggs and hot sauce. And coffee too of course.

It was a bed and breakfast place my husband and I stayed at last year over the holidays.

They started us with fresh fruit and parfait, served eggs how we wanted, the best homemade sausage, breakfast potatoes, and assorted croissants and muffins.  There were many other things offered, but that was my limit.  Off course we had all the coffee we wanted and orange juice.

Since breakfast is my favorite meal any day of the week, this was luxury.

In general, bed and breakfast establishments tend to serve extraordinary breakfasts!

And yes...I was so impressed that I took a picture of it.  :)

  • Basically it's a traditional Eggs Benedict with a waffle instead of the English muffin.  Crispy-ass hashbrowns on the side.

I like black pepper but T-Sauce just hides everything in vinegar.   I guess I can't yell at you, I am the same way with fresh lemon squeezed on most everything.  I love(d) steak, rare with lots of salt and lemon on it.  So, I am also weird.

I love herring.  I do.  I love strawberries. But bagles do NOT like me.   They are constipating and filled with white flour.

SO, I am full of it.  It is way waaaay better than Frosted Flakes.

This got me when I saw curried vegetables.  They might be luscious.  And then peas?  Not my favorite, but they can be very yummy.   You just caught me in a bad mood.  That breakfast would be a gourmet delight in any American restaurant because it is nutritious and unusual.

What is with you guys and this hot sauce deal.  That stuff is so godawful I cannot stand it on anything.  Ugh.  It is just vinegar and hot pepper.  So gross.

But the rest of it sounded good.    I would add cheese and lose the sausage and maybe a little (lot) of that there ketchup.   I have bad taste TOO!!!!

Actually now that I think of it, I'm pretty sure there was cheese on it too. I agree with you on the hot sauce though - tabasco and Frank's are too vinegary for me. That's why I like sriracha sauce better these days. And ketchup is a must with hashbrowns for sure.
