Asinine, sarcastic, and condescending, or just libertarian?

Sometimes it's hard to tell. Especially with these anarchist types.

It's not fractionally as annoying as seeing words incorrectly spelled or misused. Very few things are as annoying as that. Saying correcting people is annoying is more annoying than correcting people.

  • And completely unnecessary for informal text.

Why is it unnecessary? How come so many people can't see how horrible words look when they are spelled incorrectly compared with how beautiful they look when the spelling is correct? Why are so many people on the Internet blind to that glaringly obvious fact?

You don't need to read my posts, nor do you need to respond to them.

And completely distracting and irrelevant to the question. You want to complain Andy? Take it up with me in PM, or complain to JA. Although she's got much, much more important things to deal with, so on second thought, don't.

I was referring to Anarcho-Libertarians, obviously. Whatever the hell they are.

That doesn't answer the question "How come so many people can't see how horrible words look when they are spelled incorrectly compared with how beautiful they look when the spelling is correct?". What is the answer to that question?

Nobody would ever get any intellectual work done if they all continued to spell words incorrectly because the result would be an incoherent, nonsensical, incomprehensible mess that's anything but intellectual.

  • 99% of the time, the poster's message is conveyed despite a missed apostrophe or swapped vowel.  You are picking nits for the sake of picking nits.

99% of the time, I enjoy yours and Randy's posts.  Your grammar policing responses make you both come across as snobbish a-holes.

Well, it did the trick, didn't it? You corrected it after I pointed it out. I don't think it would be necessary to complain to JA, and you are probably right, she would probably ignore it on the grounds that she has so much else to do. Lol:)
