There is no such thing as average. Location is the largest determining factor. Look online at classifieds in cities with the population and/or average income as yours...including yours. You can check the corporate services online too. The best people to help with household chores, in my opinion, are those you find word of mouth. You can find these people on bulletin boards in apartment complexes and condos as well as neighborhood papers that you can pick up free. Ask for references.

Try the local high school, community college, vocational school, unemployment office, church or community center. Place an ad on the bulletin board making an offer based on what you can afford or are willing to pay.
