    The first thing that came to mind is NOT a bug but a lizard.  The Jesus Christ Lizard was so named for its ability to walk on water.

    SO COOL.    He is NOT nasty either.  But neither is the praying (preying?) mantis.  They just do their own thing and we "sanctimonious" humans, who are incapable of any creepy actions, judge them accordingly.  Nothing in nature is nasty but US.

    Trump and his BASE think he is God.  So this should count.

    Neopalpa donaldtrumpi.    It is a MOTH named after Trump.  It is a real moth and really named after him.
